Rosneft and Oranto Petroleum Look Into Potential Cooperation in Africa
At the XXII St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, Rosneft and Oranto Petroleum Limited (Nigeria) signed a memorandum of understanding on potential cooperation in the implementation of oil and gas projects in Africa.
The Memorandum secures the intention of the Parties to study the existing Oranto portfolio, acquisition of new assets, implementation of projects in refining, commerce and logistics and monetization of gas on the African continent.
Oranto Petroleum jointly with Atlas Petroleum International make up Africa's largest private group dealing with exploration and production of hydrocarbons. The company’s headquarter is located in Lagos, the capital of Nigeria. Company's portfolio includes 20 Licenses in 10 countries of the continent, including Senegal, Ghana, Nigeria, South Sudan and others.
