Rosneft and Primorsky Kray develop cooperation
Rosneft and the Administration of Primorsky Kray have signed a long-term agreement focused on further cooperation in the field of integrated socio-economic development of the Region. The document was signed by Rosneft CEO Igor Sechin and Acting Governor of Primorsky Kray Oleg Kozhemyako.
The agreement provides for the implementation of joint activities in pursuance of strategic projects for the creation of petrochemical complex FEPCO and shipbuilding complex Zvezda, as well as the modernization of social, transportation and utility infrastructure of the town of Bolshoy Kamen, including the housing construction for the shipyard workers. Thus, the regional Administration intends to ensure the construction of 750 apartments in Solnechny micro district. Zvezda Shipbuilding Complex has already commissioned and inhabited two houses of 68 apartments in the Fifth micro district of the city, it is conducted an active construction of the whole block in the Sixth micro district, only until 2023 it is planned to build about five thousand apartments, fully meeting the needs of workers in housing.
Other important areas of cooperation include meeting the needs of the economy and the population of Primorsky Kray for the main types of petroleum products and monitoring of their quality. A possibility to build new gas stations and reconstruct the existing ones will be considered. The cooperation will encompass the implementation of projects to improve traffic safety on the roads of Primorsky Kray.
The parties also agreed on possible participation of regional enterprises in tenders for the supply of goods, including import-substituting products, for the needs of Rosneft and its subsidiaries in order to involve local producers in the implementation of the Company's projects to a greater extent. The agreement also includes measures to improve the payment discipline of heat supply organizations responsible for the supply of fuel oil to consumers in Primorye.
The document specifies an option to supply lubricants and special liquids to industrial and transport enterprises of Primorye, as well as the use of up-to-date road binders for the development of the regional transport infrastructure.
As regards the youth policy, the Company will continue to develop an educational project related to the creation of Rosneft Classes in Primorye and cooperate with regional industry specific universities and professional education organizations.
The parties also intend to implement joint activities to develop Russky Island, implement innovative and highly efficient projects using state-of-the-art technologies aimed at reducing the footprint on environment and rational use of natural resources.
