Rosneft and Ryazan Region enter into a Cooperation Agreement

As part of XXIII St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, Rosneft and Ryazan Region signed an agreement on cooperation.

The document was signed by Igor Sechin, Chief Executive Officer of Rosneft Oil Company, and Nikolay Lyubimov, Governor of Ryazan Region.

The agreement is aimed at implementation of projects for development of innovations and introduction of advanced environment protection technologies including technologies in energy saving and energy efficiency.

The document also defines the intention of the parties for cooperation in the import substitution and localization of technologies. Additionally, under the agreement Rosneft will also engage companies from Ryazan region incluing small and middle businesses for performance of work and services in the course of implementation of Company's projects in the region.

One of the key areas of cooperation is development of road infrastructure of Ryazan Region using new technologies and modern materials. The agreement also implies further development of the retail chain Rosneft sites in Ryazan Region for reliable supply of high quality oil products for consumers in the region.

When implementing social policy in the region the Company will continue cooperation with general educational institutions as part of Rosneft Class project as well as the interaction with universities and professional educational institutions in the region.

Additionally, Rosneft will support implementation of projects for development of the social sphere and significant infrastructure facilities.

The previous Social and Economic Cooperation Agreement was signed between Rosneft and Ryazan Region Government in 2013.

The largest refining subsidiary of the Company Ryazan Refinery operates in the region as well as the distribution retail chain of Rosneft playing a key role in the oil product supply for central regions of Russia.

Rosneft produces in Ryazan Region modern polymer - bitumen binders (PBB) which have improved physical and mechanical properties. Their increase the  turnaround cycle of asphalt and concrete pavements to 12-18 years which resolves the problems of endurance of the road pavement and helps to improve the traffic safety.
