Rosneft and the Government of Leningrad Oblast Sign a Cooperation Agreement

During the XXVII St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, Rosneft and the Government of the Leningrad Oblast signed a cooperation agreement.

The document was signed by Igor Sechin, Chief Executive Officer of Rosneft, and Alexander Drozdenko, Governor of the Leningrad Oblast.

The parties intend to expand cooperation in investment activities, as well as implementation of innovative and infrastructure projects, including development of road transportation infrastructure. Moreover, to meet the demand of the Region's residents and enterprises for petroleum products, it is planned to expand cooperation in the natural gas motor fuel market and in the field of aviation fuel supply, as well as to develop the Company’s retail network.

The Company will contribute to the development of the industrial and scientific potential of the Leningrad Oblast, therefore it is envisaged the participation of local enterprises in the implementation of the Rosneft's investment projects in the region, as well as the involvement of small and medium-size enterprises in the Company's procurement activities.

The parties also intend to collaborate in the areas of import substitution and localization of equipment and technologies, energy efficiency, environmental protection activities.

The retail network of Rosneft is the largest in the Russian Federation in terms of geographical coverage and the number of filling stations, while the “Rosneft” retail brand is one of the Russia's leaders in terms of recognition and fuel quality. The Company runs about 3,000 filling stations in Russia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan and Abkhazia.

A large network of Rosneft filling stations operates in the Leningrad Oblast. There is also a new tourist spot - the Vladimirovsky Hotel Complex - on the shores of Lake Ladoga, with a floating filling station for water transport and electric car charging.

Rosneft carried out large-scale reconstruction and fully restored one of the oldest monasteries in Russia - the Konevsky Nativity of the Theotokos Monastery on Lake Ladoga's Konevets Island. The monastery complex is provided with modern transportation, energy, telecommunication and household infrastructure. A unique pier designed for cruise liners mooring has been built on the island.
