Rosneft Agrees Principal Terms to Ship Crude Oil via Kazakhstan

Rosneft President and Chairman of the Management Board Igor Sechin took part in the 10th Forum for Interregional Cooperation between the Russian Federation and Kazakhstan, which was held on November 11, 2013 in Yekaterinburg involving Presidents of the Russian Federation and Kazakhstan Vladimir Putin and Nursultan Nazarbayev.

As part of the Forum, Igor Sechin held working meetings the Republic of Kazakhstan leadership as well as top management of KazMunayGas, during which the parties discussed energy cooperation between Rosneft and the Republic, including mutual oil supplies and cooperation in hydrocarbon exploration and production in the territory of the Republic.

Rosneft, KazMunayGas and KazTransOil signed a Preliminary agreement for oil supplies via the Republic of Kazakhstan and guarantees. The document was signed by Igor Sechin, Rosneft President, Sauat Mynbayev, KMG Chairman of the Management Board, and Kairgeldy Kabyldin, General Director of KazTransOil. The parties agreed key terms for crude oil transit through Kazakhstan to China.
