Rosneft to Set Up JV and Acquire 50% in Aircraft Fueling Facility at Kyrgyz Major Airport

Rosneft President, Chairman of the Management Board Igor Sechin and Manas International Airport President Albek Ibrahimov signed today a framework agreement on acquisition by Rosneft of a 50% stake in INTEK LLC, the sole owner and the actual fueling operator of the Osh City airport.

The agreement was signed in the presence of Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambaev and the Chairman of the Russia-Kyrgyzstan Intergovernmental Commission Andrey Belianinov.

The partners plan to focus on the aircraft fueling facility asset reconstruction program, and on upgrading the existing fuel storage, quality control and delivery procedures and technologies to make them compliant with the IATA international standards.

The Osh City Airport is one of the largest airports in the region and a division of Open Joint-Stock Company Manas International Airport. The airport turnover amounted to 0.84 mln people in 2012 and is expected to reach about 1 million people in 2013 (a 20% growth).

Airport jet fuel consumption volume in 2012 was 17 ktons. An increase in the annual fuel consumption to 25 ktons is expected following completion of runway upgrades.
