Summit of Energy Companies ‘A new balance in the oil market and its implications’, traditionally organized by Rosneft, took place within the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. Chairman of Rosneft Management Board Igor Sechin Gave a Keynote Speech at the Summit.

The summit was attended by Wang Yupu, the chairman of Sinopec’s Board of Directors; Trafigura CEO Jeremy Weir; BP CEO Bob Dudley; president of Petroleos de Venezuela S.A., Eulogio del Pino; Schlumberger Ltd. CEO Paal Kibsgaard; Patrick Pouyanné, the CEO of Total S.A.; president and CEO of GE Oil & Gas SpA, Lorenzo Simonelli; president of ExxonMobil Russia Glenn Waller; CEO of Argentina-based YPF S.A., Miguel Galuccio; Cupet’s co-director Roberto Suarez Sotolongo; and Tore Halvorsen, the senior vice president of Subsea Technologies at FMC Technologies.

In his report Igor Sechin covered the new oil market balance and its implications. He also spoke of oil price structure, OPEC strategy and low crude price effects.
