Rosneft has started field works at five license blocks of the Barents and Pechora Seas: West Prinovozemelsky, located in the North-Eastern part of the Barents sea near the Novaya Zemlya archipelago, Perseevsky, located in the North-Western part of the Barents sea, and at the South Russky, South Prinovozemelsky and West Matveevsky license blocks, located in the Pechora Sea.

- Rosneft and Lukoil commenced joint drilling works at Caspian Shelf
Rosneft and Lukoil began the construction of prospecting and appraisal well № 1 at Ribachya structure as part of geologic exploration of North Caspian licensed site, situated in a Russian sector of North Caspian water area. The project is operated by the Caspian Oil Company. The planned drilling depth is 1650 meters.

- Rosneft and Statoil Held Negotiations on Further Cooperation and Development of Joint Projects
Rosneft President, Chairman of the Management Board Igor Sechin held negotiations with Statoil CEO Helge Lund. The parties discussed joint projects on geological exploration on the Russian continental shelf in the Barents Sea and the Sea of Okhotsk, and projects on the development of Domanic deposits at the license blocks of Rosneft in Samara region.
