- Foundation Stone Laid at Ceremony to Mark Launch of Construction of Eastern Petrochemical Company
A foundation stone laying ceremony has been held at the construction site of the Eastern Petrochemical Company outside Nakhodka. Construction work, which is being carried out by Rosneft, was formally launched by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Rosneft has begun exploration work at the East Prinovozemelsky 1 and 2 license blocks in the Kara Sea. Geological surveying has been started one year ahead of the license schedule.

- Rosneft Launches Seismic Survey in Pechora Sea
Rosneft has begun offshore exploration at the South Russky license block in the Pechora Sea. A 3D CDP seismic survey covering 1,200 square kilometres is being carried out by three field exploration parties from Yuzhmorgeologiya.

- Rosneft and Statoil Agree on Joint Offshore Operations in the Barents Sea and Sea of Okhotsk
Rosneft and Statoil signed a cooperation agreement to jointly explore offshore fields in the Russian sections of the Barents Sea and Sea of Okhotsk. The agreement also covers Rosneft’s participation in the exploration of license blocks in the Norwegian part of the Barents Sea, as well as the possible acquisition by Rosneft of interests in Statoil’s international projects.
