- Rosneft President Igor Sechin Takes Part in First Oil Ceremony at Junin-6 Block in Venezuela
Igor Sechin, President and Chairman of the Management Board at Rosneft, took part in a ceremony celebrating first oil produced at the Junin-6 block as part of his visit to Venezuela. The block is currently under development by Venezuela’s PDVSA and Russia’s National Oil Consortium, which comprises Rosneft, Gazprom Neft, Lukoil, TNK-BP and Surgutneftegaz.

- Russian President Vladimir Putin Takes Part in Knevichi Refuelling Complex Launch
Russian President Vladimir Putin has attended the launch of the Knevichi refuelling complex at Vladivostok airport. The ceremony was held as part of the APEC 2012 Summit hosted by the region. Rosneft built the alternative refuelling complex – the biggest of its kind in the post-Soviet period – for the APEC summit.

- Foundation Stone Laid at Ceremony to Mark Launch of Construction of Eastern Petrochemical Company
A foundation stone laying ceremony has been held at the construction site of the Eastern Petrochemical Company outside Nakhodka. Construction work, which is being carried out by Rosneft, was formally launched by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Rosneft and E.ON Russia have signed an agreement on the supply of 4.65 bcm of gas to Surgutskaya GRES-2, an E.ON Russia subsidiary, in the period 2013-2015.

Rosneft has begun exploration work at the East Prinovozemelsky 1 and 2 license blocks in the Kara Sea. Geological surveying has been started one year ahead of the license schedule.

- Rosneft Launches Seismic Survey in Pechora Sea
Rosneft has begun offshore exploration at the South Russky license block in the Pechora Sea. A 3D CDP seismic survey covering 1,200 square kilometres is being carried out by three field exploration parties from Yuzhmorgeologiya.
