The Annual General Meeting of Shareholders of Rosneft was held on June 10, 2011 in Krasnodar. Holders of 97.39% of Rosneft shares registered to participate in the meeting. The meeting approved the Annual Report, the Accounting Statements and the distribution of net profit of Rosneft for 2010.

On January 14, 2011 Rosneft and ВР signed agreements to establish a joint venture to explore and develop the East-Prinovozemelsky 1-2-3 blocks on the Russian Arctic shelf, exchange 9.5% of Rosneft shares for a five percent stake in BP, and form a global strategic alliance between the companies.
