Rosneft’s innovation management system is recognized as compliant with the requirements of GOST R 56273.1-2014, which sets the requirements for the organization of an innovation management system. Rosneft was the first Russian company to have a certified audit in this area, confirming its status as a technology leader in the industry.
As part of the certification audit, the entire life cycle of Rosneft's innovation management process was analyzed and evaluated, including planning, organizing and implementing innovation projects, assessing their risks, and introducing organizational innovations and new technologies into production processes. The Certified Innovation Management System in the Company was formed within the Company's Innovation Development Program. Following the requirements of international standards, the Company developed a package of documents regulating its innovation activity and introduced modern management processes.
Rosneft Innovation Management System confirmed its compliance with the international standards on innovation management, which is a clear indication of the continuous improvement and enhancement of the corporate management system, as well as the Company's commitment to the long-term goals of innovation development.
In addition, the Company has developed a system of organizational and methodological mechanisms for the development of long-term priorities for innovation development at the strategic, portfolio and project levels:
- at the strategic level: long-term forecast of priorities in innovation development;
- at the portfolio level: on the one hand, it monitors the technology market trends, on the other hand, it monitors the technological requirements of the Company so as to determine the list of scientific and technical priorities;
- at the project level: a key prerequisite for deciding whether to initiate a new project is to justify the relevance of the solution as compared to the global level and analog technologies, including the assessment of the risks of the analogues appearance in the course of the project implementation.
